August is a busy time of year for all of us -between the end of our summer learning program and the start of the school year (and all that entails), it's hard to keep track of anything else - and this is in a normal year! In 2020, we are also grappling with questions about school, health, and safety, as well as how to create and deliver virtual and take-home programming that works for you and your family without adding to the screen burnout many of us are feeling. To this end, we will not be offering any virtual or in-person children's programming during the month of August. This will not only give us a break from the busyness of Summer Learning, but allow us time to plan and create the best programs we can given this year's circumstances. Starting in September, you can expect both virtual and screen-free take and go programs, including trivia, bingo, virtual field trips, storytimes, social connections, STEAM Take & Go kits, and more.
In the meantime, you can still visit the library for books and take & make crafts, or you can take advantage of our ongoing curbside book pickup. We also encourage you to visit the Kids page of our website, where you can find resources for both learning and entertainment, as well as make suggestions regarding programs and materials. And don't forget to check out our Downtown Story Walk!
